Established in 1996, Kenmir has a team of 27 people working from offices in Cooma and Berridale in the Snowy Monaro region of NSW. The team services clients in the Snowy Monaro region, other parts of NSW and across Australia.
One key strength is the diversity of experience our team members have covering the full spectrum of financial services across a wide range of industries.
Our Team
Mark Kenmir
PARTNER
Mark was born in England and emigrated to Coonamble in the Central West of NSW at the age of 14. After leaving school, he worked as a butcher before an opportunity came up to work in an accounting practice, which was owned by his future father-in-law, Ellis Ryan. Mark worked in that practice for 14 years, the later years as manager. In 1996 Mark, with his wife and their three children, moved to Cooma where he started his own practice. The practice grew quickly. 'We picked a great time to make the move as there was a need for a new practice in Cooma. We were very fortunate to be able to find great people to work in the practice and that has continued to this day.
My passions are: Helping clients in any way that I can, whether that is helping them build or manage their business, manage their tax, grow their wealth, maximise benefits available to them.
Lisa Rowbotham
PARTNER
Lisa was born and raised on a family farm near Berridale and has a strong passion for helping people in rural and regional areas. Lisa joined the Kenmir team in 2000 after returning from study in Wagga Wagga and in her years working at Kenmir has thrived in helping local small businesses of all types to develop and grow as well as survive the tougher times. She is a Registered Tax Agent and a Fellow of NTAA.
When Lisa isn't in the office, she is usually found tending to her other passion, farming. Alongside her husband and son, they run a Hereford cattle enterprise and she is a proud fifth generation farmer droving their cattle to the high country for the summer months.
Lisa enjoys camping, horse riding and kayaking in her downtime and also helps out with numerous community organisations.
Jodie Dobbie
PARTNER
Jodie was raised locally and comes from a farming family and background. She joined the accounting profession after having a career in commercial lending. Jodie joined Kenmir Accounting in 2017, and had been working as an accountant for 17 years at that time. She has a Bachelor of Accounting and is also a Fellow of CPA Australia, a Chartered Accountant and a Justice of the Peace. She has worked as a manager of an accounting team since 2005, and enjoys mentoring and working with a team. Jodie has a wide variety of clients including farming /agriculture, Building & Construction, Contractors, Retail and hospitality.
She enjoys catching up with clients to discuss their financial goals, and working with them to achieve these goals.
Donna Robinson
ACCOUNTANT
Donna was the company’s first employee commencing work in the Vale Street office in 1997. She has been in the bookkeeping and accounting industry for over 30 years and recently re-joined the team. Donna has owned and operated retail, construction and service businesses which has allowed her to identify with the struggles facing other small business owners and operators in the region. She loves working as part of a team to achieve the best tax results for her clients.
In her spare time Donna loves spending time with her family, travelling, sewing, and crafting.
Marija Kulezic
ACCOUNTANT
Marija commenced with Kenmir Accounting in 2020, preparing tax returns and financial statements for various entities and individuals. She graduated from the University of Canberra in 2018 with a Master’s in Professional Accounting.
In her spare time Marija enjoys good wine, watching Netflix, going to the gym, and sightseeing on the weekends.
Monique Harlor
ACCOUNTANT
Monique is one of our Senior Accountants assisting across assorted industries including primary production, construction, and hospitality. She has a keen interest in small business tax and enjoys helping our clients meet lodgement deadlines and in undertaking their compliance activities.
In her spare time, Monique is a mother to one beautiful little girl and enjoys snowboarding, netball and horse riding.
Sarah Hyams
ACCOUNTANT
Sarah joined our team in early 2020 and quickly moved into the position of bookkeeping manager, before landing in her current position as an accountant. She has a Bachelor of Commerce (Management & Accounting), is a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and a Justice of the Peace. She has been in the industry for more than 10 years and has gained vast experience across a range of areas including external audit, bookkeeping and accounting. Running a farm with her partner and 2 children, and also a café, has set her up to offer our clients real life experience with the systems that they use, such as Xero and Square.
Alana Emmery
ACCOUNTANT
Alana joined the Kenmir Accounting team in 2022, bringing 10 years’ experience to her accounting role. She has a keen interest and vast experience in working with small businesses within the construction, retail and hospitality industries.
Alana recently relocated to the area to enjoy the laidback, outdoor lifestyle. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Soraya Maia
ACCOUNTANT
Soraya is originally from Brazil and moved to Sydney in 2014. She joined the Kenmir Accounting Team in 2022. She has a broad background in Internal Control Management with over 10 years’ experience and has been working in Australia in the accounting industry since May 2017. Soraya graduated in Business Management overseas and has an Australian Certificate IV and a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Accounting. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) online to become a certified accountant in Australia.
Nathaniel Stibbard
ACCOUNTANT
Nathaniel joined Kenmir Accounting as a bookkeeping trainee in 2018 and completed a Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping. Spending some time in the self-managed super fund team before moving to accounting, Nathaniel has experience with various entity structures in a broad set of industries. In August 2024, Nathaniel was awarded his Bachelor of Accounting degree which he had been studying online and part-time via Charles Sturt University while working full-time at Kenmir Accounting. Outside of work, Nathaniel enjoys day-tripping, hitting the gym, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors bushwalking or mountain bike riding.
Carolyn Roach
ACCOUNTANT
Carolyn is locally born and bred on the Monaro. Both Carolyn and her husband have enjoyed hobby farming with sheep & cattle over the years. With Carolyn’s love for the Monaro along with her own experience she can relate to our clients within this industry. She has 21 plus years’ experience in all areas of accounting and prior to this she worked in a local financial institution. Carolyn loves working with her clients assisting them to reach their business goals and meet their compliance obligations. Spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, friends and pottering around in her garden is how she enjoys her free time.
Anita McInnes
ACCOUNTANT
Anita was born and raised locally and commenced working with the Kenmir Accounting team in 2023. She has been in the accounting industry for the past 16 years working with a wide range of clients and industries during this time.
In her spare time Anita enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling the country with her children’s sporting ventures.
Donna Harding
ACCOUNTANT
Donna joined our team in 2023 and brings with her extensive accounting experience. She has been in the accounting world for 18 years assisting agriculture, business, and bookkeeping clients. She enjoys supporting her clients to ensure they meet their many obligations.
In her spare time Donna enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and quality time with her grandchildren.
Krystal Turnbull
ACCOUNTANT
Krystal commenced her accounting career back in 2003 with Mark Kenmir & Co as a trainee and worked with the team up until 2012 before making the move over to Tumut for 11 years. She rejoined the Kenmir Accounting team in July 2023. Krystal brings 20 years’ experience working in both public practice and private company roles. She has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is also member of CPA Australia and a Chartered Accountant.
In her spare time, she enjoys renovating houses and road tripping in her campervan with her partner and two dogs.
Lily Williams
TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT
We are pleased to have Lily on our team, kicking her career off as Trainee Accountant. Lily is studying a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. She has a gift for bookkeeping and processing Business Activity Statements. Lily has lived in the region her whole life and is excited to see where her career takes her. She has a love for travelling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Renee Jones
BOOKKEEPING MANAGER
Renee is our friendly, and approachable highly experienced Bookkeeping Manager who is passionate about helping our small business clients. Making bookwork easier and seamless for business owners is where Renee likes to focus her attention. Whether it be comprehensive training to building skills or simply supporting when needed, adapting to clients’ individual needs and the variety this envelops is a challenge she enjoys.
In her spare time Renee loves nothing more than spending time with her family, swimming and enjoying the great outdoors.
Karen Clark
BOOKKEEPER
Karen joined the Kenmir Accounting Bookkeeping Team in 2021 and brings over 18 years industry experience including bookkeeping. Karen is a valued team member always willing to take on a new role. In addition to bookkeeping, Karen handles the administration for Trusts and Companies and is a Justice of the Peace. She has lived on the Monaro for 30 years and has been involved in many community organisations, often acting as treasurer. Currently Karen is the treasurer of the Cooma Branch of the Country Women’s Association.
Karen is married and has a gorgeous cavoodle called Winnie.
Jessie Cullen
BOOKKEEPER
Jessie has lived in the Snowy Monaro region for the last 15 years. She recently moved to Adaminaby to join her partner on his family run cattle farm. Jessie has over 15 years’ experience in administration and finance roles and is currently studying a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
In her spare time Jessie likes to explore what our area has to offer. She enjoys learning new skills on the farm with her partner and daughter.
Hayley Jones
BOOKKEEPER
Hayley has experience in Business Management and is currently pursuing a double degree in Law and Business at the University of Wollongong. She joined the Kenmir Accounting team to learn valuable skills to assist her in her career development, studies, and life. She is a warm and friendly person with an outgoing nature and loves to be challenged.
Outside of her working life, she enjoys spending time with family, camping and motorsports.
Donna Bailey
OFFICE BUSINESS MANAGER
Donna commenced with Kenmir Accounting in 2012. She has a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting and a Diploma in Financial Planning. Donna’s focus is assisting our Directors with administrative tasks relating to the running of the business. Her knowledge is extensive, and she has a knack for sorting out IT and software related problems. She has a can-do attitude and is always there to support our staff and clients with any enquiry.
Outside of work Donna enjoys spending time with her family on their farm as well as teaching dancing.
Jodie Swain
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Jodie is a people person and has a passion for assisting clients and the team at Kenmir Accounting where she first started as Receptionist in 2011. She has over 25 years’ experience in accounting administration and reception. Jodie also has around 25 years experience in bookkeeping and managing a successful family business with her husband. In her spare time Jodie likes creating memories with her family and friends.
Jo Morassutti
RECEPTIONIST
Jo started as our Receptionist in 2022. She is the warm and friendly face of Kenmir Accounting assisting with all your initial enquiries and guiding you in the right direction. Previously Jo has worked in customer service roles with over 35 years experience including extensive experience in an accounting firm. Outside of work Jo enjoys time with family & friends, horse riding, travelling and getting out on her motorbike exploring our beautiful area.
Deb Law
RECEPTIONIST
Deb started at Kenmir Accounting in 2024 as Receptionist, bringing with her 15 years of experience in customer service, from Retail, Employment services and Disability services. Deb enjoys spending time with her partner and two young children in her spare time, and working on the family farm. She also likes to sing and act – you might see her on stage at the Cooma Little Theatre from time to time.
Kathy Holfter
ADMINISTRATION
Commencing in 2020, Kathy is part of our Administration Team. She brings to the team 36 years experience and has a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. Kathy has lived in Berridale for 22 years with her husband and two daughters.
She has been active in the Parent & Citizen Associations of a couple of local schools for 13 years and enjoys reading, dancing and spending time with her girls.
Dani Kenmir
WEBSITE & DESIGN
ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT
Dani officially joined Kenmir Accounting’s Admin Team in 2022 and as Mark’s daughter Dani has lived and breathed the accounting world all her life. She also brings 8 years’ valuable experience after working in Cooma, Canberra, and Townsville as an administrator.
In Dani’s free time she spends it with her family, knits, reads and plays video games.
Tyra Morgan
TRAINEESHIP
Tyra is completing her school-based traineeship at Kenmir Accounting with a Certificate III in Administrative Accounting. She has enjoyed the opportunity to enter the workforce, gaining valuable new skills and experience while also attending high school. Tyra enjoys the gym, watching Netflix and spending time with friends and family.
